Make Money With Twitter – New Method

Posted by Ad Hustler | Posted in Affiliate Marketing, Social Media | Posted on 14-08-2009

2 Months ago I posted a Make Money With Twitter Tutorial.  Tons of people jumped on board and I’ve heard of quite a few doing well with it.  The jist of that post was that Twitter Follower Bots+ RSS content + ebay RSS feeds = Profit.  Recently, the eBay Partner Network has cracked down on ANYONE posting links to sites that they don’t own.  That makes my old method a bit outdated (although there are some sneaky ways to hustle the eBay Partner Network).  Those who can’t adapt, can’t survive in this industry so let’s adapt.

The whole Follower Bots + RSS Content is still necessary.  This way you can grow your profiles and have a constant flow of tweets without you really needing to do anything.  However, our monetization method is about to change.

I am making the assumption that you followed my guide in the last Twitter Tutorial and already have Twitter accounts built up with large follower bases.  I have multiple niche accounts in the 10,000+ Followers range.  It’s really not that hard so you should too.  So here’s the concept: We are going to use email submits to make more then was ever possible with the eBay Partner Network.  To demonstrate the process I am going to use the example of a Twitter account based around the iPhone.  We are going to integrate the email submits in as a “sponsor” for a Twitter contest.  Let me show you an example of how I would work this on this fictional Twitter account:

iPhoneExample Hey guys, we just got a sponsor who will be giving away iTunes Gift Cards.  Stay Tuned For More Info.

15 Minutes Later

iPhoneExample iTunes promotion will start in a few minutes.  Just dotting some i’s & crossing some t’s.

10 Minutes Later

iPhoneExample The contest begins.  (50) $50 iTunes Gift Cards.  Enter your email address to see if you qualify LINK (participation required)

15 Minutes Later

iPhoneExample Whoa, Lot’s of entries.  Get your free iTunes Gift Card,  Enter your email to see if you qualify LINK

30 Minutes Later

iPhoneExample Only 40 iTunes gift cards left.  Go to LINK and enter your email address to see if you qualify

Rinse & Repeat for the rest of the day at 30 minute intervals counting down how many cards are left and sending people into your email submit.

This may seem like it takes a lot of time but it doesn’t.  Simply get a free account at TweetLater.com and pre-schedule your tweets.  In addition you can copy the past tweets so when you do this again on the same account or a different one, your tweets are pretty much pre-written.

If you have accounts that have a lot of followers, this is the easiest money you will ever make.  If you have multiple accounts with many followers, even easier.  You can’t do this type of contest every day, but once a month is fine.  If you can build 30 accounts to a lot of followers, you can have 1 account to do this to per day.  On an account with 10,000 followers, I would say it’s fairly easy to make $100-$200 off one of these contests.

Have you tried this?  Will you try this?

Make Money With Twitter Tutorial

Posted by Ad Hustler | Posted in Social Media | Posted on 09-06-2009

Twitter is growing by leaps and bounds and it’s time to take advantage of it’s abundance of free traffic.  The concept of making money with Twitter is pretty simple.  You build demographically targeted lists of twitter users and then you can market to these users through the use of your tweets.  This tutorial will teach you everything you need to know to make money with Twitter:

Find A Niche

Decide what niche you want to target.  Do some research using the “find people” tool as well as search.twitter.com to find a demographic that is plentiful on twitter.  If 10,000 people are writing about losing weight then chances are there are enough users in that niche to make it profitable.

Start A Twitter Account

This part is crucial.  When you sign up for the account do it under an assumed identity related to your demographic.  For instance if you are trying to sell diet pills, you are a middle aged women.  When you create the profile you create a short bio about yourself.  In this bio you should tell the twiiter users how you used to be a cow but now your thin and sexy and want to help them become a sex goddess just like you are.  Create a relevant background and icon.  The key here is DO NOT BE SPAMMY.  You are representing yourself as a real person who is obsessed with helping people {fill in the blank}.

Incubate the Account

The name of the Twitter game is auto content generation.  You don’t want to be sitting there tweeting your days away to create content for these accounts.  What you are going to do is find RSS feeds related to your topic.  It doesn’t matter where you get these as long as they are relevant and you have a variety of them.

Sign up for TwitterFeed.com – TwitterFeed.com will feed these RSS feeds into your twitter profile in the form of tweets.  The TwitterFeed service is self explanatory.  You put in your twitter user name and password, select a few options and it starts “feeding your Twitter.”  Most of the posts will come in the form of a Title Of An Article and then a link.

I would let the account incubate for a few days just feeding it content.  You may see that you get some followers.  The reason for this is that people use search.twitter.com to find interesting tweets.  If they find your tweets interesting they may follow you.  Sweeet.

Gain Followers

The whole principal of gaining followers is pretty easy.  People want to feel important so by following them, you make them feel important.  In turn, as long as your content is relevant to them, chances are very good that they will follow you back.

You can gain followers in a number of ways:

1) Wait it out and see a small trickle of people follow you because of your content.

2) Manually find people you want to follow you, follow them and hope they follow you back.

3) Automate #2 for huge results.

Automation is my favorite course of action.  In order to do this you need a program such as TwitterSnipe.  What TwitterSnipe does is watches for new tweets on Twitter that contain a particular keyword that you are interested in.  If you are going to try to sell diet related products you would probably be interested in people that have tweets with the following keywords or pharses:

“lose weight”
“diet”
“feel fat”
….you get the point.

TwitterSnipe will watch in real time for your predefined keywords and then follow that user.  Follow back rates tend to be very good because your profile is very very highly targeted towards what they are tweeting about.  They are also actually online since this is done in real time and that also helps in getting followers.

Follower Limits

There are limits in place to prevent spamming on Twitter.  You should be aware of these limits if you are going to start trying to gain followers.

1,000 Maximum Follows Per Day
2,000 Maximum Follows Total Before Follow Ratios Start To Kick In

After you are following 2,000 people (which technically you can do in 2 days with automated software) twitter limits the amount of follows you can can add to your profile based on your follower ratio.  After following 2,000 people you can only follow about 10% of your followers.  In other words if you have 2100 followers you can only follow another 210 people that day.  You need to try to keep your following to follower ratio as high as possible.  One way to do this is by using a mass unfollow tool and after a certain amount of time just unfollowing everyone who’s not following you back.  Just be careful with these tools as sometimes they can trigger your account to get suspended.

Get Twitter Users Involved

At this point you should have a bunch of followers.  Probably to the tune of over 1,000.  You should now make a bunch of personal tweets in the account, telling your story….asking questions and generally just trying to involve people in the “conversation.”  Some of these tweets will probably get retweeted.  Involving your audience is key because I feel that Twitter monitors the response rate to see who is spamming and who isn’t.  The more you can involve your audience, the less likely I feel that your account is going to get suspended.

Monetization

So how exactly are we going to make money with this again?  Good question!  There are multiple ways to monetize a Twitter profile.  My favorite is as follows:

Use the eBay Partner Network.  eBay has products for any niche.  Grab an ebay RSS feed (with your affiliate link in it) for the niche that you want to target.  Put that feed into your TwitterFeed account and it will feed products to your twitter users the same way your content is being auto-generated.  You now basically have an automated monetized machine.  Content will keep being fed to your users as well as eBay products which you make a commission off of.  With eBay, the game is just setting as many cookies as you can because no matter what the user buys in the coming days will be credited to you as the referrer.

Don’t forget that any time a relevant CPA offer comes onto an affiliate network you can tweet about that as well.

You can also use twitter to build a mailing list and then market to the users later.

Automation Tip

TweetLater.com really simplifies your life.  You can preschedule tweets so that over time your users receive personalized tweets from you.  They also offer a ton of other tools to help manage your multiple Twitter accounts.

One feature that TweetLater offers is the ability to automatically DM (Direct Message) each new person who follows you.  This gives you the ability to make an initial contact with each and every new follower you aquire.

Now that you know what to do.  GET TO IT.  There’s a whole lot of talk in this industry and not a whole lot of action.  Buckle down for a few days, make a ton of Twitter account using the methods described above and get some alternative income coming in.

Please Note: I need to thank Ian Fernando for insisting that I learn about Twitter.  To tell the truth I really didn’t see any potential in it but he made me give it a try and I have to say it’s worthwhile to help diversify your income.

Is Browsing The Facebook Ad Board Not Enough: Introducing FBSpy

Posted by Ad Hustler | Posted in Social Media | Posted on 17-03-2009

People love stealing other peoples ads on facebook.  Did you ever wonder, how can this be made even easier then using the Ad Board?  MadPPC.com has come up with a great script to do this called FBSpy.  Some of it’s features include:

  • Multi-Account Capabilities – You have the freedom to set up and get ads from as many different Facebook accounts as you deem fit. Oh it’ll even tag up the ad with important information you had set for that user, like age, tags, sex, and sexual orientation.
  • Easy to use – If you have a US or Canadian IP, just setup a profile.  Then when setting it up change where the profile is from, you should be able to get ads from all over the place.
  • Multiple Search Features – Find out what ads are targeted by age, sex, sexual orientation (Likes in the above image). Also search by keywords found in the title and adcopy.
  • Tags – Tag each ad with important keywords to not only describe the ad in general but make searching a breeze.

MadPPC is a great guy who does some sick coding.  If you are looking for a tool to spy on your Facebook competition, I suggest dropping the small amount of money to buy FBSpy.

This is NOT a paid post, nor am I making ANY commissions if you buy his product!

PLEASE NOTE: I DO NOT ENDORSE STEALING ADS. SPYING IS ONE THING.  GATHERING INFO ABOUT NICHES IS ONE THING.  STEALING ADS & LANDING PAGES WORD FOR WORD ARE ANOTHER.  USE YOUR BRAIN!

Girl Scouts Of America Hate The Internet

Posted by Ad Hustler | Posted in Social Media | Posted on 16-03-2009

The Girl Scouts hate the internet.

In the article  Why Do Girl Scouts Ban Online Cookie Sales? aspiring online entrepeneur, 8-year-old Wild Freeborn (future berry peddler) came up with the idea to market her Girl Scout cookies online (An idea I have actually pondered in the past).  She set up a youtube channel with a sales pitch and her dad set up an online ordering system.  Pretty entrepeneurial and worthy of some big ass merit badge or something right?  Nope.  The girl scounts hate the internet, and other parents of Girl Scouts support the denouncing of using the internet to sell cookies.  The parents issue is that it gives an unfair advantage to girls like Wild Freeborn who THINK BIG.

I HATE KIDS but this Wild Freeborn is a go getter.  Why should the Girl Scouts hamper her ability to sell more cookies then the next girl?  They shouldn’t and they should be ashamed of themselves for trying.  Life’s not fair.  If you want to make it to the top you have to be innovative and fight for it.  Wild Freeborn has that fight in her and the Girl Scouts are trying to kill it.  Girl Scouts of America: you should be ashamed of yourselves.
