AffBuzz came onto the scene not that long ago and has made major waves. The concept is simple. Aggregate all affiliate marketing news (blogs, news sources, forums etc.) into one centralized location and then show the most popular stories. Although you can make your own news feed by using an RSS reader, I actually prefer AffBuzz for my affiliate marketing related news. A quick glance can show me what the most popular stories of the day are.
One major thing that I use AffBuzz for is skiming through news sources I don’t subscribe to in my RSS. Stuff like new bloggers on the scene, network news and bloggers I don’t particularly like. The little “new” icon makes it easy to see what’s up in the affiliate world.
If you haven’t tried it yet, give it a whirl. If you have, share what you think about it.

This is a Guest Post By Kim Ann Curtin, Life Coach
A few years back I made a slew of cash in a very short amount of time. I was working at a hedge fund and I received a sign on bonus as well as two more generous ones over the year.
Having grown up with a mom who always struggled with money I remember feeling a little unusual about all the money I was making. Not that I didn’t love every minute of it; because I did. It was remarkable to not have to bring out a calculator every time the urge to purchase something came about. Yet I found it to be somewhat unfamiliar and even at times a little nerve-wracking grappling with the question, “How did this change in circumstances just like that – occur?!”
And I was also aware of my concern that it might all disappear – just like that. Other people who receive a lot of money at once sometimes have an opposite reaction they start to feel as though it will always continue and they will never run out. But I felt more of a kinship with the infamous stories of lottery winners that within a short time ran through their money. Why was that?! I sure as heck didn’t want to be one of them.
Being an affiliate marketer you might be experiencing some of these thoughts yourself. Shocked, excited, and or anxious and nervous that it won’t last so you are spending it like a little kid in a candy shop – scooping up all the candy you can carry home. Who can blame you? It’s new and it feels good to show off in front of your buddy what you have created for yourself. I’m all about celebrating yourself and your wins but as a life coach I’m here to make sure that you also keep earning the money and that you don’t go and blow it all at once on candy that will just get you sick of in a few days or months.
Back to the lottery winners who in a short amount of time go right back to an empty bank account. I now know that the reason this happens is that what is believed in our unconscious is what will determine our circumstance. There is a pre-set thermostat that lives inside all of us which is our self-image. If we want money and abundance to continue in our life – we need to examine the beliefs we have about it being in our life in the first place. We have to take a look at our self and see if we truly feel having it feels like it fits, is familiar and/or is what we have perceive as normal and if it doesn’t; than no matter how much external effort we exert – including will power – will ever be able to keep it from slipping through our hands. Eventually our pre-set thermostat will take us back to what it considers our “setting” unless we re-wire the setting on that thermostat. As a coach this is one of the first things that I ask people to take a look at, what are their limiting beliefs? Having those beliefs brought into the light has a remarkable ability to stop them dead in their tracks.
Additionally what is also interesting is that in spite of the money and any new found bling -we might find that we feel empty inside. You hear about it all the time someone buys a hot new car and has a fab new apartment and yet they still don’t feel good about themselves. So they keep numbing out either with shopping, food, drink, drugs and/or sex. They aren’t even enjoying any of those things –it is just this fruitless attempt to fill what feels like a hole inside. Again this is about our self image. As Maxwell Maltz, MD says, “Self image – it is the common denominator.” In the book, The New Psycho-Cybernetics he discusses that “To really live and find life satisfying you must have an adequate and realistic self-image that you can live with. You must find your self acceptable to you. You must have a wholesome self-esteem; a self that you can trust and believe in; a self that you are not ashamed to be and one that you can feel free to express creatively rather than hide or cover up.”
So if indeed you struggle with feeling inadequate or unacceptable realize you are in the majority. We all struggle against feelings of inadequacy but our peace of mind is closer that we realize. It will take some effort but not nearly as much as one would imagine. There are terrific books available to help you to get clarity; as well as personal development courses and even one on one coaching. All of them will on differently levels make you aware of your limiting beliefs.
If you feel you have identified with some of what this posting is addressing the first thing I want you to do is celebrate yourself and acknowledge how self aware you are and that you are indeed “awake.” It takes courage to admit it to yourself; now you need to take the next step. Whether it is buying a book taking a development course or hiring a coach; the key is to keep going. Don’t stop. You are more than half way there. Winston Churchill said it best; “If you find yourself going through hell, keep going.” It might get hot but you will have your thermostat permanently re-set where you want it for the rest of your life. And that is worth more than any bling I’ve ever seen.

Let’s set the scene.
I was at Affiliate Summit in the press room with Ian Fernando. A lady comes up to me and asks if I would like to have a discussion about my life. Needless to say, the Ad Hustler brand of dark humor and mischief surfaced very quickly. I turned to Ian and said “I’m Gonna Mess With Her!” I followed her to the corner of the room and she introduced herself as Kim Ann Curtin, Life Coach. She started asking me a series of questions of which I couldn’t really come up with any funny answers. Then she started talking to me about some of the answers I was giving and I was impressed. What could have been a joke, ended up being quite a nice conversation.
Here’s what I like about Kim:
- She’s overcome obstacles in her life and uses those experiences to help others.
- She’s got balls (not literally: figuratively) – How many people do you know walk up to strangers and ask to talk to them about their lives?
- She’s done some awesome guerilla/viral marketing which has gotten her national press attention.
- What she says makes sense, it’s not textbook crap, and she doesn’t think she’s better than you.
- She’s 100% likeable – Meet her and you’ll know what I mean.
There must be a point to this post right? YEP!
I have asked Kim to be a contributor to AdHustler.com. I want to share her with all of you guys & gals because she makes you think. She will post once in a while and hopefully we can get some great discussions going in the comments. The posts will be very different then my writing style but I ask you to read them with an open mind. Kim’s first post will come to you this week. I look forward to it and I hope you do too.
2 Months ago I posted a Make Money With Twitter Tutorial. Tons of people jumped on board and I’ve heard of quite a few doing well with it. The jist of that post was that Twitter Follower Bots+ RSS content + ebay RSS feeds = Profit. Recently, the eBay Partner Network has cracked down on ANYONE posting links to sites that they don’t own. That makes my old method a bit outdated (although there are some sneaky ways to hustle the eBay Partner Network). Those who can’t adapt, can’t survive in this industry so let’s adapt.
The whole Follower Bots + RSS Content is still necessary. This way you can grow your profiles and have a constant flow of tweets without you really needing to do anything. However, our monetization method is about to change.
I am making the assumption that you followed my guide in the last Twitter Tutorial and already have Twitter accounts built up with large follower bases. I have multiple niche accounts in the 10,000+ Followers range. It’s really not that hard so you should too. So here’s the concept: We are going to use email submits to make more then was ever possible with the eBay Partner Network. To demonstrate the process I am going to use the example of a Twitter account based around the iPhone. We are going to integrate the email submits in as a “sponsor” for a Twitter contest. Let me show you an example of how I would work this on this fictional Twitter account:
iPhoneExample Hey guys, we just got a sponsor who will be giving away iTunes Gift Cards. Stay Tuned For More Info.
15 Minutes Later
iPhoneExample iTunes promotion will start in a few minutes. Just dotting some i’s & crossing some t’s.
10 Minutes Later
iPhoneExample The contest begins. (50) $50 iTunes Gift Cards. Enter your email address to see if you qualify LINK (participation required)
15 Minutes Later
iPhoneExample Whoa, Lot’s of entries. Get your free iTunes Gift Card, Enter your email to see if you qualify LINK
30 Minutes Later
iPhoneExample Only 40 iTunes gift cards left. Go to LINK and enter your email address to see if you qualify
Rinse & Repeat for the rest of the day at 30 minute intervals counting down how many cards are left and sending people into your email submit.
This may seem like it takes a lot of time but it doesn’t. Simply get a free account at TweetLater.com and pre-schedule your tweets. In addition you can copy the past tweets so when you do this again on the same account or a different one, your tweets are pretty much pre-written.
If you have accounts that have a lot of followers, this is the easiest money you will ever make. If you have multiple accounts with many followers, even easier. You can’t do this type of contest every day, but once a month is fine. If you can build 30 accounts to a lot of followers, you can have 1 account to do this to per day. On an account with 10,000 followers, I would say it’s fairly easy to make $100-$200 off one of these contests.
Have you tried this? Will you try this?
