Is HasOffers A Serious DirectTrack Competitor?

Quite some time ago I heard rumblings of a new affiliate network platform that would be coming out soon.  It’s called HasOffers.  I usually ignore these new “we’re gonna take over the universe” type products but it seemed intriguing and I know the guys behind out so I checked it out.  What HasOffers is, is basically an affiliate network at the click of a button.  It offers all of the features that other systems like DirectTrack, Linktrust & Hitpath and more plus their prices are really affordable.  Basically, ANYONE can start an affiliate network.

Affiliate Network Interface

Let’s face it.  I’m an affiliate, not a network owner.  This being said it was so ridiculously easy to set up an offer in the system that an idiot can do it.  The affiliate network interface breaks into these categories:

  • Snapshot – This basically allows you to see how your whole affiliate network is doing at a glance.
  • Offers – This allows you to add and manage offers on your network.
  • Reports – This let’s you pull a sleuth of different (clean looking) reports.
  • Affiliate – Manage the affiliates on the network.
  • Billing – Manage payments to affiliates and from advertisers.
  • Advertisers – Allows you to see how many leads and how much is owed by each advertiser.
  • Company – This allows you to customize the whole look of your network and manage key info.

Affiliate Interface

I’ve personally ran traffic to a network that is using the HasOffers platform.  It’s really easy to use and very clean (not to mention fast).  The tracking is also quite accurate so nothing to worry about there.  If your working with a network and you all of a sudden hear that they are changing over to the HasOffers platform, it’s something you should be happy about, not worried about.

Here’s the beauty, and the danger.  Now anyone can start an affiliate network.  That means that you may be able to get your hands on some sick ass offers you never have before.  You just have to make sure that your working with reputable affiliate network owners.  The thing that makes HasOffers really unique is that they offer you an account for FREE.  Of course there’s catches as to what is and is not included for free but it’s still a pretty impressive offer.  Since it’s free, one idea that I had for a unique affiliate network is to do a local network.  Basically contact a bunch of local businesses, offer CPA rates and then use the affiliate network for tracking and advertiser management.

I don’t get it. Why is it so cheap? Is there a lot of demands? I don’t think so.

  2. their pricing model is pretty interesting. With that $0/mo option though, ASW is going to need a much larger show floor. I expect there to be 400-800 new CPA “networks” beating me up w/ bizcards.

@Martin – Your right. It is pretty damn cheap. I actually think there is a lot of demand. Think about the tons of affiliate networks running on DirectTrack. I know for a fact that DirectTrack costs A LOT more then this and I couldn’t imagine it being significantly more powerful. What would be interesting is if we had any current or former DirectTrack affiliate network owners who read this blog and could tell us the differences.

@Plunge – Your right. It will sprout an ass-ton of crappy networks but out of that there could be some gold.

  4. Sounds interesting. I’ve worked for LinkTrust for over 2 years now and can tell you for a fact that if they can offer their “enterprise” solution for $799/month with unlimited clicks….. it doesn’t add up. When you get companies pushing over 50 million clicks per month, that $799/month system is going to blow up. This is probably a great option for small startup networks who want to get their feet wet, but no reputable network would/could trust it. This is clearly an advertorial. He’s getting paid for all the signups.

  5. I am using HasOffers for my network and it has been nothing but a pleasure working with them. They are doing weekly updates to make it even better and they have excellent support via email and AIM if there are any issues. The tracking has been perfect too.

@jeremy – question: was your comment paid for by a salary? Also, do you know anything about the technology they are using? what is it written in? how is it hosted?

  7. Do you really want to give Tatto all your networks data? I sure don’t but that’s just me 🙂

  8. @ Jack- Answer: my comment was paid for by a salary. I don’t know anything about the technology they are using or what it is written in or how it is hosted. I am only working off a basic knowledge of what the actual hardware would potentialy cost. Bare minimum one server with a database on it (which could not make unlimited clicks possible) is about 10k. If you know any more details about their technology setup, please share. I couldn’t find anything on their site. Which is normal.

  9. The software could be great. I’m not trying to discredit it at all, i am just doing the math in my head wondering how you can offer it so cheap….. Which if the software works well, is awesome!

  10. @Jeremy

“This is clearly an advertorial. He’s getting paid for all the signups.”

uhhh..I’m not getting paid for the signups.

Is there any compensation for this post? YES!
    Is the review honest? YES!

I would NEVER recommend something to my readers and industry friends unless I thought it was cool or meant what I was writing.

You could offer me 1 million dollars to post that your product is great, but if its not, I’m just gonna take the cool million and post that it sucks.

    You seem awfully defensive Jeremy…

  11. DT offers nice features, such as Cross Publishing to all the other DT networks, which both helps a network fill out its offers list when getting started and allows a new offer on any DT network to potentially get a huge amount of exposure…Also, being able to share info on fraudulent affiliates across networks is a big plus.

How does HasOffers compare in these respects?

  12. @Liam – So far I have not seen either of those features. I will let them know you asked and ask that they respond here though.

  13. Justin Justin

    @Jeremy,

10K for a server and DB isn’t a real requirement anymore. You can put most of this in the cloud: AWS, App Engine, or Azure and scale your cost out as your load increases. Even cloud based VPS solutions like GoGrid would work. Startups dont really burn cash on infrastructure like they used to.

  14. Ad Hustler Ad Hustler

@Smax – I never really thought of that trust issue.

  15. @Ad Hustler

Well, then I apologize for the “This is clearly an advertorial. He’s getting paid for all the signups.” comment.

  16. They tried selling to my company (Zoosk) — wasn’t really impressed.

HasOffers is the OpenX of ad networks, a nice idea but I had serious doubts that they could even handle the traffic of my company runs every day.

Hitpath is really the way you want to go for an adnetwork. Never a second of downtime and there are no “tickets” — you get the cell numbers to at least four people there. I’ve called people while they are at home about to go to bed and they’ve resolved any issues.

  17. […] If you haven’t sold out to hasOffers yet, it’s time to do so. To be serious for a second, a successful affiliate can probably find value in this platform, and make it work for them. But lets be honest… 80% of affiliates don’t make jack shit, and this is who the product is geared towards. […]

  18. I agree with Smaxor, the fact that this is free and incredible is just an illusion. It’s a great product, but being in control of critical data as such is much more valuable then charging you X amount of money per month, therefore defeating the purpose of anything “free”.

  19. we would be happy to talk with anyone that has a question about your system or our business model 🙂

  20. HAS OFFERS SUCKS HAS OFFERS SUCKS

HAS OFFERS IS A JOKE! I would never run my offers with ANY advertiser on this system! I do not care WHO the advertiser is or even who the network is who HAS THE OFFER!

    PEACE!

  21. Should be interesting to have an easy yet cheap platform as people have complained with the directtrack platform.

    Brian AM @ Pingo.com

  22. Kaan Kaan

Is there any alternative to Directtrack?

TO my knowledge DT costs 12000 dollars a year.

  23. Kaan Kaan

    Thank you!

So I believe you wont be able to have a network less then 10.000 dollars per year?

  24. Mindy Mindy

OpenX?! Are you joking? Just look into their code you’ll soon find out why you want to stay away with it…

  25. hasoffers have the great technology they are improving day by day and the rate plan is also awesome compare to other affiliate software.
I think it’s great opportunity for new persons to have a affiliate network.

  26. I wish to start my CPA Network soon with the DT engine and give you big players some competition LOL.

  27. Hasoffers is definitely a serious competitor. These comments are full of misinformation and even the guy that admitted he was being paid to post his negative comments..

  28. Do DirectTrack, Linktrust & Hitpath have self hosted options, as opposed to HasOffers? I’ve heard a range of prices, from ~1,000 a month to 20k set up plus 1-2k month. Can anyone help narrow it down?

  29. Spoke to LinkTrust today. They charge ~3500 for set up and ~1500 a month. Nice system as well.

  30. I would recommend hasoffers.com to everyone that Has Offers. We use it to track our marketing efforts from xdating and the other DG International dating websites. 🙂

    Hi,

I unable to upload the offers & also not getting proper tracking. There support is worst. Support guys don’t know how resolve the problem. They are simply sending wiki links.
I think it’s fully stupid software.
