Yep Revenue Review – HOT Mobile Affiliate Network

Posted by Ad Hustler | Posted in Ad Networks, Affiliate Marketing | Posted on 18-02-2009

Quite some time ago I wrote a post asking for some Unique Affiliate Networks that I could spotlight.  It dawned on me that my favorite affiliate network in the industry is pretty darn unique.  That affiliate network is Yep Revenue.

Yep Revenue is a network concentrated on mobile offers.  Some offers include IQ Quizzes, Crush Offers, International Mobile Offers and much more.  If you are looking for anything mobile related, these guys have it, or have the connections to get it.  I initially discovered these guys on Wickedfire.  I was hesitant at first to sign up because I’ve never heard of them.  I spoke to Elias aka “The Big L” and he disarmed me by saying “Listen Bro, Sign Up Today & I’ll Pay You Tommorow.”  I signed up, drove some traffic in and he seriously paid me the next day.  I was blown away and thats where my trust of YepRevenue.com began.

A propitiatory in house tracking system is another asset that sets Yep Revenue apart from a lot of other affiliate networks in the space.  As we all know, most networks are running on an out of the box tracking system such as DirectTrack.  Yep put a lot of time and effort into developing an in house tracking system.  Tracking is in real time and the interface is extremely clean.  They also added a lot of cool features recently, including the ability to place your own pixel, some unique reports and an EPC rank indicator.  Yep also has a large amount of unique offers as well as daily & weekly payments which is hard to beat.

The thing that has impressed me most about this network since the first day I worked with them is their honesty.  If there is a problem with an offer, they tell you right away.  If there is an outage, they credit you.  If THEY think something is funny with the offer, they investigate before you can ever even bring it up to them.  These guys are seriously on top of their game.

Yep Revenue gets the Ad Hustler stamp of approval.  I am more then happy to associate my name with this company.

Are you currently working with Yep Revenue?  If so please post YOUR experiences in the comments.  If your not signed up yet…what are you waiting for? (Ask for Jamie as your affiliate manager…he’s on top of his game!)

Please Note:  This is NOT a PAID post.  If you sign up through my links, I do get a referral commission however all statements are my own opinions and thoughts.

Facebook Has A Change Of Heart

Posted by Ad Hustler | Posted in Ad Networks, Social Media | Posted on 29-01-2009

Changes To The Advertising Guidelines

At Facebook, we are working hard to improve our advertising products to help our advertisers reach users in an effective and meaningful way. Since we launched the Facebook Ads platform in the Fall of 2007, we have used advertiser and user feedback to inform product improvements and policy changes.

As a company, we are always striving to provide a great experience for our users. As advertisers, you have a significant impact on this experience. Our advertising policies help safeguard the experience on Facebook for our users while providing you with opportunities to engage with users and promote your business. In the past, we have made changes to our ad policies in response to user concerns about the quality of advertising. We realize a few of these changes have prevented some legitimate advertising opportunities and impacted ad diversity, both of which are crucial to creating a positive user experience.

In an effort to communicate our policies more clearly, we’d like to share some minor adjustments to our Advertising Guidelines. We are lifting the restrictions on some content including quizzes, surveys, some ringtones and other business opportunities. We’ll begin rolling out these changes over the next few days and the official details will be posted to our Advertising Guidelines early next week.

We hope these changes will improve your advertising experience on Facebook and create an environment in which users and advertisers can build meaningful relationships. We look forward to working with you and continuing to apply your valuable feedback to the future evolution of our products and policies.

This is nothing less than awesome.  Now if only Google would change some of their strict policies, we’d all be rolling in the dough.

Traffic Derivatives – Think Outside The Box

Posted by Ad Hustler | Posted in Ad Networks, Affiliate Marketing, Social Media | Posted on 23-01-2009

Let’s face it.  It’s getting harder and harder to get access to the traffic we need to remain profitable.  Facebook ads are a nightmare to get approved.  Myspace must have hired Facebookers, because they are disapproving a lot of ads now too.  It’s the same story for all of the traffic we know converts and need to get our hands on.

I’m not a huge stock investor but I do listen to Jim Kramer’s Mad Money everyday.  He always speaks about buying derivatives of stocks.  For instance, If you believe in Apple and feel that the stock for Apple is overvalued, but still want a piece of the action, what do you do?  You buy companies whose stock increase because Apple does well.  Stocks could include hardware manufacturers, partner companies, software companies that make software compatible with Apple etc. (Note: this is not stock advice, nor do I like Apple, it’s just a concept)

So how does this relate to getting the traffic we need?

It’s pretty simple actually.  Think outside the box, to find ways to get at the same users through alternative advertising systems.  There is more then one way to get at the same users and you need to develop a way of thinking to get around your traffic problems.  Let’s say you need to get at Facebook users.  You can buy ads directly through Facebook’s self serve system, you can do a media buy on Facebook.com, you can buy ads through 3rd party apps ad networks such as SocialMedia or Cubics or you can contact apps owners directly and buy advertising space on their apps.  That’s just a few of the ways to get at that same Facebook traffic.  The same type of derivatives can be ton with sleuths of other websites.   Can’t get a Myspace ad through?  Have you tried Google Content Network?  The list goes on.

When you get an ad you believe in dissaproved, you CAN NOT give up.  You need to work around your problems, and one way to do this is by thinking in terms of traffic derivatives.

PepperJam Breaks The News

Posted by Ad Hustler | Posted in Ad Networks | Posted on 22-01-2009

I opened up my email to find a survey from PepperJamNetwork.  Since it’s been over a year now and Mandy Foley hasn’t been able to figure out a way to get me into the eBay affiliate program, I figured I would let them know on their survey.  When I opened the survey I saw something that made me laugh:

pepperjam-survey

Apparently there is a conspiracy.  Affiliate.com and Azoogleads are the same company.

You heard it here first.

Copeac Puts Weight In Close Affiliate Relationships

Posted by Ad Hustler | Posted in Ad Networks, Affiliate Marketing | Posted on 09-01-2009

Copeac put out an email yesterday detailing some changes they are making to their network.  A lot of them have to do with the look and feel of their interface.  One change they are making that popped out at me is:

We are also excited to announce the launch of the Copeac Leaders Section. This is a separate section of Copeac that is only available to high volume producing affiliates that we have met personally. Copeac Leaders will have access to some offers that the rest of the network can’t see, Leaders will also get first crack at popular offers prior to their release to the rest of the network. In addition Leaders will have exclusive invites to events and shows (such as the party at the palms this year http://www.copeac.com/PalmsParty2009/) a different bonus program than the rest of the network, no wire fees, faster payments, priority on IT and Design requests and much more. To learn more about becoming a Copeac Leader please speak to your AM.

I find this little announcement interesting.  They are basically saying that they are going to give special offers, payouts etc to affiliates the KNOW and have met in PERSON.  It’s a little bit of a slap in the face to new affiliates but it’s also a bit of a reward for SERIOUS affiliates.  With this industry growing as fast as it is, new fly by night affiliates enter every day.  Some do some sketchy stuff out of wanting to make a buck or just pure ignorance.

Theres also a whole other breed of affiliates that attend conferences and have a personal relationship with their affiliate managers.  In my opinion, these type of affiliates a a whole lot less likely to commit fraudulent activities or try to screw advertisers/networks out of money.  These affiliates are people who take this business seriouly and consider it a career, not a get rich quick scheme.  These are obviously the type of affiliates Copeac wants and will reward for developing a relationship with them.

Copeac is a good network.  My AM, Jeff over there is great so if you are signing up, request him.

(Please note, there are no affiliate links in this post.  I don’t care if you sign up or not, just giving you guys some info about a good company)
