Tatto Media Sponsors AdHustler.com Case Studies

Posted by Ad Hustler | Posted in Ad Networks, Affiliate Marketing, Case Studies | Posted on 11-05-2009

I like to maintain minimal advertising on AdHustler.com.  I respect my readers enough not to bombard you with tons of crappy offers like many affiliate bloggers do.  To be quite honest, i receive at least a few advertising offers for this blog each week and I turn most of them down.  Tatto Media approached me with an interesting proposal that is win/win for everyone.

The Back Story: Mike from Tatto Media has been a supporter of this blog (especially the case studies) since I started it.  He has sent a lot of his new affiliates to check out my case studies and has thrown a lot of support my way.  His network (Tatto) has always been very private.  The extent of their promotion has been some really classy parties/cocktail hours at Ad Tech and other conferences.  Tatto has decided that they want to open up their network to more affiliates and approached me with an interesting proposal.

The Proposal: Tatto knows that I don’t like to whore out AdHustler.com and they also know that case studies are interesting and helpful.  Tatto has offered to donate $25 for each approved affiliate into their network, for case studies on AdHustler.com.  I have agreed to take this money and do some new case studies that will be totally transparent.  Whether the case study fails or succeeds, i will post the ads, landing pages, offers, revenue etc.  You as the reader benefit with new transparent case studies funded by Tatto Media & you get to work with a great affiliate network.

About Tatto: Tatto is a private affiliate network with some really exclusive offers and a history of coming up with “the next big thing.”  Tatto Media was instrumental in bringing mobile offers mainstream and own some of the biggest winners in mobile.  They also own a lot of other exclusive offers in a variety of niches.  Tatto tests their offers in house to ensure they perform.  Tatto Media has a propietory tracking system that is really clean, easy to use and accurate (i’ve used it myself).  Sign up for Tatto Media, check out their offers and if you see something you like, give it a try.

Yankees Vs Red Sox Courtesy Of MediaWhiz

Posted by Ad Hustler | Posted in Affiliate Marketing, Big Pimpin' | Posted on 05-05-2009

For the last few months Media Whiz affiliate managers have been on an assault to find good affiliates.  To me they came off as overly aggressive and obnoxious at times.  When Josh from Media Whiz asked me to a Red Sox vs Yankees game I thought it could be interesting, so I went.  Turns out the guy is actually really cool, fun to talk to and committed to this industry.

We met up at the Yankees Tavern, hung out for a few and then headed over to the game.  We were both pretty certain it was going to get rained out but luckily the game went on (at 9:20pm – pretty late).  It rained the whole time but luckily, we stayed dry.  I’m still recovering from the Swine Flu so I am grateful for that.  There is nothing like the hostility between Yankees & Red Sox fans so the taunting was fun to watch.  The only thing that was super lame was that the cops came over to anyone chanting “Boston Sucks” or “Yankees Suck” and told them to stop.  If they didn’t; they dragged them out.  Way to show off your small penises NYPD!

Although the Yankees lost in their new stadium, I still had a good time.  A big thanks goes out to MediaWhiz for taking me.

If any other networks want to take me out for cool events, I’m down! :)

Are You Banking When Hot News Breaks?

Posted by Ad Hustler | Posted in Affiliate Marketing | Posted on 04-05-2009

In marketing being timely can mean making a huge chunk of change in a short amount of time.  When hot news breaks you should be thinking “How can I make money off of this?”

Swine Flu is a great example.  People are crazed about this Flu.  They think they are going to die and they are worried.  Some people aren’t worried and find it funny.  How do you turn this into cash in your pocket?  I’ve seen a ton of Swine Flu campaigns running and some of the ideas are just genious.  (I’m not going to out anyones campaigns here so take a sigh of relief.)

One way you can bank on this is with the “Swine Flu” email submit ive seen on some networks.  I hear that it’s not converting that well but maybe you can look at it and get some ideas.

This weekend I was at a concert and saw a vendor selling shirts that said “Fuck Swine Flu.”  They were also selling surgical masks that said the same.  Pretty smart!  I asked him how they were selling and he said he sold about 800 shirts at $15 per piece.  That’s $12,000 just capitilizing on something that’s in the news.

The purpose of this post is to remind you that you need to capitilize on what’s HOT at any given time.  The kind of money that you can make in short bursts on popular topic can make you more then most people make in a year at a regular job.
